I have trained in the gym on my own for a while and apart from the weight loss I did not notice major improvement in terms of building muscle, strength and toning. So, I opted to join a personal trainer and joined Mark initially for his boxing classes, which later. Within a few weeks after joining Mark as I could see and feel the difference. Mark is very professional when it comes to determining what your goals are and then develop a training programme specifically to help you to achieve those goals. Mark also focus a lot on the correct posture while doing the exercises which assisted me a lot with a back injury. I find my training sessions with Mark enjoyable because not one session is the same. He varies the training session a lot in terms of various types exercises, including strength training, endurance training, cardio, etc. Throughout the Covit 19 lockdown, Mark kept his clients motivated by providing online training videos.
When I first met Mark, almost 10 years ago, my goals were simple: to ?get into shape and tone up? – we achieved those goals.?As life happens, our goals change and we need to adapt and change??Since we first started training together, Mark has trained me through broken bones, brain tumour surgery and cancer?each time adapting my training routine to my needs.?He has also trained me through my bodybuilding journey – taking me to a 2nd place at both South African Championships and Arnold Classic Africa.?Mark?s strengths as a physical trainer lie in is in-depth knowledge of physical training, his ability to adapt to different people and their training requirements, and his genuine concern for his clients? health and well-being.
